Occupying a 13-storey building on the Isle of Dogs, Sierra Quebec Bravo reimagines contemporary workplaces as a more social, flexible and characterful alternative to the traditional office environment. Designed for General Projects, the scheme challenges the corporate conventions often associated with Canary Wharf, creating a workplace centred around community, wellbeing and adaptability.

The design draws inspiration from the area’s maritime history and the dazzle camouflage once used on ships navigating the nearby docks. This distinctive graphic language informs the project at every scale, from the redefined entrance portico to internal glazing, wayfinding and environmental graphics. Applied at varying densities, the pattern provides privacy where required while maintaining visual connection throughout the building. Rich colours, textured materials and playful detailing further reinforce the building’s identity, creating a warm and engaging workplace environment.

The ground floor has been transformed into a social hub that extends out onto a newly activated public plaza with planting and timber seating. Throughout the upper floors, office spaces are positioned around the perimeter to maximise views and natural light, while communal breakout areas occupy the centre of the plan. Glazed internal partitions allow daylight to travel deep into the floorplates, supporting a variety of workspace types ranging from coworking and incubator spaces to larger tenant suites. Together with a gym, cycle facilities and planting throughout, the scheme promotes a healthier and more collaborative approach to working in Canary Wharf.
