Our culture is the foundation on which every project is built.
The culture of SODA is built around curiosity, collaboration and the exchange of ideas. We believe creativity thrives when different perspectives come together, which is why our studio is deliberately open, non-hierarchical and collaborative. Everyone has a voice, regardless of their role or experience, and the best ideas come from anywhere.
Architecture is only one part of the conversation. Discussions regularly move between film, music, fashion, art, photography, making and everyday life, drawing inspiration from far beyond the built environment. This openness has become fundamental to how we design, allowing unexpected ideas to shape our projects in meaningful ways.
Our studio extends beyond client work through self-initiated projects that celebrate the wider creative community. From publishing the SODA Review and hosting Culture Talks to collaborating with artists, designers, musicians and students, these initiatives create opportunities to learn, share and challenge conventional thinking. We curate exhibitions, installations and events that bring people together, reinforcing our belief that creativity grows through conversation and collaboration.
For us, culture is the foundation on which every project is built. By creating an environment where people are encouraged to contribute, experiment and inspire one another, we continue to evolve as a practice while designing spaces that feel relevant, generous and connected to the people who use them.
