Polpetto is the first solo restaurant by renowned chef Florence Knight, bringing a fresh and contemporary interpretation of the Polpo Group's hospitality offer to the heart of Soho. Occupying a long, narrow unit on Berwick Street, the project transforms a challenging site into an intimate dining destination, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the character of the food and the neighbourhood.

The design takes inspiration from a softer and more playful expression of the Polpo identity, introducing a lighter material palette and subtle references to femininity throughout the interior. Decorative plasterwork incorporates a delicate lace motif, while steel detailing, natural finishes and carefully crafted furniture create a balance between refinement and robustness. Together, these elements establish a calm and inviting setting that feels distinctly different from the group's earlier restaurants.

Responding to the constraints of the narrow plan, every element has been carefully considered to maximise both space and experience. A bespoke bar creates a welcoming focal point without interrupting the flow of the restaurant, while slim leather banquette seating with integrated folded steel side tables makes efficient use of the limited footprint. Pivoting bar stools can be tucked neatly beneath the counter when not in use, preserving clear circulation through the space. Below, an open theatre kitchen becomes the heart of the dining experience, celebrating the preparation of food and bringing energy and atmosphere to the restaurant.
